Danish distiller A.H. Riise Spirits has gained international honours for several of its rums and for its gin. Five different products have won magnificent prizes at two different international awards ceremonies.
This exclusive rum has been created as a celebration of one of the most significant and entrepreneurial Danes; pharmacist and councillor A.H. Riise. He lived and worked in the former Danish West Indies between 1838 to 1878.
Founded in 1770, Chelsea Distillery for Liqueurs & Cordials was awarded Gold Medals at the Great International Exhibitions in London in both 1851 & 1862, and the Festival of the Empire Exhibition in 1911.
Distilled today at the Thames Distillery in the heart of the city of London by Master Distiller Charles Maxwell, London Dry Gin was Awarded with the 2015 IWSC Trophy, for the ‘Worlds’ Best Gin.
This excellent rum is named in honor of Alberto Santos Dumont ( 1873 – 1932 ) a world-famous aviation pioneer, noble man, celebrity and style icon. He was the heir to a wealthy family of coffee and sugar cane producers.
Tranquebar Colonial Gin dates back to 1616 and is named after the Danish colony “Tranquebar” home of the Danish East India Company located in south-east India. New and exotic spices imported into Holland were used to infuse new flavours in the traditional ‘genever’ spirit, and Tranquebar Gin has been created froman original and authentic recipe.
Just as in the 17th century, Tranquebar Gin continues to be distilled in Holland, today in Schiedam, which is known as the genever, or jenever capital of Holland.
